Hallways Ghost: 10/07/09; 1:30p.m.; Bannack Ghost Town;f/9; 4/1; Olypus E-520; tripod

Both of these shots were taken on the tripod and with a very sow shutter length. This allowed the subject to pose and leave the shot in the time that the shutter was open giving the ghostly appearance.

wagonwheel

Wagon Wheel; 10/07/09; 2 p.m.;Bannack Ghost Town; f/8;1/160

I wanted to do something different with his image. Everyone was taking pictures of the hotel and I thought it might be fun to have the hotel from a different point of view…the background. I increased saturation int this image by 10 to pull out the reds a little more.

Sewing Machine; 10/07/09; 1p.m.; Bannack Ghost Town; f/4.1; 1/40

Jars;10/07/09; 1p.m.; Bannack Ghost Town; f/5.6.1; 1/1000

These shots are examples of shallow depth of field. I tried various angles of this both but liked the chosen ones the best. I did not make any other edits to the shots.

brad

Brad; 10/07/09; 4p.m.; Bannack Ghost Town; f/5.7.1; 1/100

I used my husband as my subject for this portrait shot. The sun was coming in through the window just right that it caught the side of his face. I increased the contrast by 27 to catch some more shadows.

snow shed

Snow Shed: 10/07/09; 2p.m.; Bannack Ghost Town; f/48; 1/3200

This image was taken at the top stairs of the Masonic Temple. It had just started to snow so I wanted to see if I could catch any snow flakes in my shot without a flash or anything like that. I turned the shutter speed up on camera as high as it could go and this is what turned out. I think it is pretty because the white flakes are a nice contrast to the burnt colors in the wood.

fence

Fence; 10/07/09; 1:15 p.m.; Bannack Ghost Town; f/8.1; 1/100; macro setting

I was having fun with my macro settings in this image. The fence crated great lines so I wanted to capture them with the doctors house in the background .I increased saturation by 20 so that the colors in the house were a little more visible in the background.
