Photo-a-Day
A month ago I did a photo-a-day project and never ended up posting it. I lucked out and spent that week in Austin, Texas so I was able to get some great shots. Austin is such a cool city, so full of life and beauty. You will notice that there is no Monday shots, I only took pictures Tuesday-Sunday
Tuesday: I love candy, and I love how pretty candy is when it is lined up in shops so I took this image with a shallow depth of field to show the art in candy stocking.

Wednesday: Wednesday afternoon I took the 4 block or so walk to see the capitol building. I wanted to capture that it was the “lone-star state” as wel as get the capital building in the shot and this is what I came up with.

Thursday: Just another evening walking around downtown. The sunset was casting such beautiful light that I made Amberlee stop so I could do a portrait shot of her, she was a good sport.

Friday:On Friday I went to see the bats fly out at sunset from under this bridge, the Congress Avenue Bridge. There are around 1.5 million bats that come out all at the same time. It was one of the most remarkable things I have ever seen.

Saturday: On Saturday I got to visit the University of Texas. It is a pretty awesome campus. This was the bulletin board on the edge of campus.

Sunday: My last day in Austin. I took this shot from the hotel window. We were on the 20th floor. Austin is a really beautiful city.
